Kerry and Denise Godwin
feel called to use their
media job skills to spread the Gospel .What did
they do before?
Kerry and Denise were
born and raised in Kansas City.
They were introduced by their parents (an arranged
marriage?) and got married in 1988. They have worked
in journalism, graphic design, and media fields for 17 years.
Kerry began his career as a public affairs specialist
with the US Army reporting for base newspapers. He has worked for
newspapers and magazines since his discharge. Kerry also recorded
and edited eye surgery videos for a time.
He was the chaplain of the Midwest Chapter of the
82nd Airborne Association and was involved with men’s ministries
and doing sound in their home church.
Denise started as a newspaper reporter after Evangel
College and has written for a variety of publications. She has worked
in writing, book publishing and graphic design arenas. After returning
from International Media Ministries in 1995, she did freelance video
production. She has been on the board of the Heart
of America Christian Writers Network and is the group’s designated missionary.
They were home group leaders for young-marrieds
and singles and were leaders in a Sunday school class at their church,
Overland Park First Assembly of God.
Kerry and Denise have a passion for working at International
Media Ministries where they use their media skills to spread
the gospel to closed countries and oppressed hearts.
